ok guys now that we know what oil filter to use how about spark plugs what does everyone like has anyone tryed them e3 plugs yet and how about wires i am not trying to be a smart as or nothing but i am getting ready to change the plugs and wires i am just trying to smooth out my idle a little i allready changed my coil with an msd one now i want a good idiea aboutthe plugs and wires

Your engine was designed and rigously tested with plugs until the ideal plug was designed for it. The plug that comes in our engines is by far the best there is for it.

ALL other brands of plugs are mnade to fit more than one application. Sure some plugs MIGHT work, but they ain't the best! Stay with the factory plug and you CANNOT go wrong.

Around my town The parts houses all reccomend this or that plug that they have got a deal with.. Don't go for it, be resolute, insist on the factory plug! I do and it has to be ordered for my Rangers.

I just pulled the factory plugs out of my 99 with a 3.0. The replacement plug with the same part number, that I had to order, has a far smaller burning area. I'm sure they won't last the 160K that the factory ones did.

I also ordered a set for my 02 4.0 it only has 102K on it so I havn't installed them yet.

Please don't waste your money on the E3s. Go with Motorcraft or Autolite. I tried E3s and they mis-fired, like crazy. I too was suckered by the hype.

Motorcraft coppers. Coppers run cooler and are a must for upgraded ignitions. And they only run 1.99 each.

Definitely go with the motorcraft (the factory EOM) spark plugs.

I've always had good luck with Autolites. I think if one stays with the OEM plugs or maybe slightly better you'll do just fine. Im not 100% sold on these super platinum irridium E3 blah blah blah.

i have plain autolites in mow but since i put an msd coil on i thought about putting better plugs and wires ant thoughts on better ones would be great yea i am not wasting money on them e3 i was just seeing if any one else had them but again any help is app.

E3 plugs are just a gimmick, just like Splitfire was, Bosch +2 and +4 plugs.

FWIW, I used standard plugs in my 2.9L w/ milled heads, cam, MSD ign. coil, etc. Also using standard plugs in my mild 5.0L using the same MSD TFI Blaster II coil (but carbbed instead of EFI :D). I use decent wires though, usually go for Ford Racing.
