Spark plug boot tool

Is there a special tool for removing the spark plug boots? I need to change plugs, and they are way down there. Is it difficult to do? Any tips. Need to pass emissions.

I use this type but make my own using longer wire

It slides down and around the spark plug under the boot to pull it up.
Problem with boots is that they stretch when you pull them from the top, this causes them to hold on even tighter, like a Chinese Finger trap, lol, the harder you pull the tighter they get

Thanks. Not much Forum info on the 2001-2011 2.3 for spark plug removal. Should I get new wires? dielectric grease.

My 1994 stock motorcraft wires lasted 15 years, I am guessing, changed them at 16 years and got smoother idle, lol.

Judgement call really, if you start engine at night where it is very dark you can often see sparks arcing from worn out wires, so time for a change
