I have a 1994 ranger that has no spark. before it went out completely it would not start and after sitting for a while it would fire. it got progressively worse originally i thought it was a short in a wire or something. last winter it went out completely. I checked the rotor and cap and they were fine I also changed out the coil and that didnt help either. I am tired of not having my truck has any one had a problem similar to this? I have no spark what so ever none not ever sporadic. some one please help!:bawling:

Take a look at your wires, battery, plugs, and starter for a start.

After I hit the 75,000 mark on my truck I overhauled all the electrical at once (MSD coil, Taylor wires, Taylor cap and rotor, Optima battery, E3 spark plugs, 200 amp alternator). It was well worth the investment!

I have been through the wiring quite a few times. the plugs are good but regardless I am not getting spark off of my coil or distro. the battery and coil are also new I am thinking that maybe the pick up in the distributor or some thing electronic further up line are on the fritz. I am just trying to find out if some one has had the same problem before and what it ended up being before I just go throwing money at it

I already tried that and I checked for spark right after the coil made sure I was getting power to my coil. it must be the ignition control module. they are so expensive and I do not even know where mine is located.

Its between the battery and the driver side headlight. It will have a silver heat sink connected onto it. Autozone also test it for free! Its $60.
