Spare holder

Will a 31 inch tire on a 15 inch rim fit in the spare tire holder under my truck?

I hear people with the FX4's doing it all the time but after looking at mine i would seriously doubt it. If you have 31's right now i would take one off and drop the spare and test it out.

well actually im getting 31's....dont have them yet. but i can always chain it down to the bed if i need too

Thats what i did... except for the chain. But I didn't bother with the spare because there is one of those stupid anti theft devices on it and i don't have the key.

u can drill the locking devic.
ive seen some trucs with big tires down there, seesm like they fit but it looks really bad, and according to the owners manual, u arent suppposed to fit anything from 235/75 and up in there.

I figure I'll just leave it be for now. with my spare in the bed and that one I got a bit of weight in the back for winter.

Where i live people enjoy stealing things out of beds of trucks though. So imma go with chaining or locking it down somehow.

Yeah thats probabaly a good idea, where I live now there is no reason to do that...
