I have a 1986 4x4 Ranger and I want a donut tire for a spare. What cars or trucks will have a donut rim to fit my truck? Thanks.

What size tires are you running? Getting a donut large enough for 4x4 tires will be challenging a stock; anything larger, you will be SOL.

Yeah, you don't want a donut spare.

Typo... I have a 1988. Junked the 1984 and sold the 1986. my tire size is , 215/75 R15. My reason for a donut is to get me home or to a station. I just don't want a full size spare again. Actually I thinking about relocating my battery in the area for the spare. Dual batteries.

Ok, find yourself a Mustang 17" donut (same bolt pattern); dismount the tire it comes with (155/70R17 for my buddies) and buy/mount 165/80R17 - which will be basically same diameter as your 215/75R15s (it WILL be more expensive than regular tire).

It would get you to a station on road; but you would be in trouble if 'wheeling'...

But doesn't the donut still fill the space at least partially? Or did I miss something?

I got a 2001 Jeep Cherokee spare from one I parted out, I've tried it and it fit's fine, 5x4.5" Should fit over the 4x4 hub too, one of the rims from the regular set of Cherokee wheels/tires is my spare currently (215/75R15 in fact!), as my original spare wouldn't fit over the hub of the Explorer 8.8"

Should have zero trouble finding them in a junkyard.

To all of you hating on doughnut spares, they are a perfectly reasonable, space saving, lightweight solution.

I toss my aforementioned doughnut spare in the truck when I use my trailers (also 5x4.5")
