my girlfriends oldsmobile p.o.s in one week decided it wanted to pop a panel on the driver door then bend the crap out of every thing in that area, then the next day it starts drinking half quart of oil everyday, then the next day it gets what we believe is a lifter knock. the next day we park it hop in and go to start it it wont stay running. then it starts breathing so we buy another air filter. we go to wal mart and when were about to leave she puts in it reverse and it grinds gears. hop out check the fluid and its bone dry.... we go in and buy some. we cant find the tube to pour the atf into.... we call my moms mechanic cuz i thaught i was just missing something he cant find it either. were like wtf. then some dudes come over like 3 of em and they cant find it.

so wtf should we do with this car?... keep in mind this all happend in a day and the car only has 120k miles on it and its a 95

Well, it isn't a lemon anymore. Sounds to me like it wasn't care for very well.

i know the ppl before my girl friend didnt take very well of it, and everytime me and her went to her dads he asked her if she checked her fluids and she always said yes so i assume she was and she never asked me to. there still making payments to the bank on the car and im sure all these problems will cost more to fix than the 2k they paid for it

Some auto transmissions don't have a fill/check tube. The wife's Explorer doesn't, never came with one from the factory. If it's an older Olds then I doubt it wouldn't have one though. Seems to be a fairly new idea for some reason.

Is it an achieva. If it is it should be a red T handle betweem the engine and firewall on the drivers side if I remember right.

most gm treans have a fill plug on the cv axle output side on the passengers side, you have to read the directions but it needs to be level and warm and pull the plug to check the level then to add the red plug is up top just under the exhaust, heh and it's always hot and you burn your hand. :annoyed:

why cant they make it simple and have a hose at the top of the engine like the rest of the car manufacturers, and im not doing ne of that, her dad hopped in it and drove it 5 miles with it making all kinds of noises. i think he should have drove it to the junkyard, the tranny is toast now. time for a new car for her to abuse

Am I missing something here? You have a 14 year old car with what sounds like little or no maintenance and it's the cars fault? Unlike what someone else has suggested, don't buy her a Ranger because I hate to see a perfectly good vehicle in the hands of someone that has barely enough brain cells to tie their shoes!

what kind of olds?
