Is it just me, or does this stink of a credit card scam:
Online retailer selling brand new Superlift suspension lifts for '98+ Ford Rangers for around $1000 (what's that...almost half price?). As part of the sale, they need you to fill out a "credit card authorization form". The form includes your name, address, phone, email, credit card number (with expiration date and 3-digit code from the back). AND a photocopy of the credit card (front and back), photocopy of your drivers license (front and back), and a signature on the bottom of the form where it says "I agree to all the terms and conditions set forth and understand that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. By signing this agreement, I relinquish the right to dispute the charge". Hmmm...something just doesn't seem right:annoyed:

def a scam. any time they want your credit card and a copy of your drivers license sounds like a scam

And seeing how they are in south Florida (any illegal immigrants down there?), it sounds like an identity theft thing to me.

No retailer/company will ever solicit you via email and ask for your credit card information. Of course it's an identity theft scam. As far as illegal immigrants in S. Florida, the majority of "immigrants" down there are here legally from Puerto Rico and Cuba. The illegal ones reside more around the Orlando area.

The worst part is how some people will actually sign this crap. And send someone photocopies of their drivers license. And get scammed. And ID Thieved (Is that the right term? lol)

All I can say is wait untill you retire and start getting stuff from the "Social Sercurity" asking for all kinds of info. A lot of old people really do fall for it. I've gotten same things from banks where I don't even have an account. Dealing on-line and other places and all they need is the credit card number, with that you are covered.

Even if it's not a scam. I would never give up my right to contest a sale on parts that cost that kind of money. They could be junk or not even fit right. I use my CC for everything I buy so if something turns out to be fraudulent I have recourse.

Or you order a $1000 lift kit, and end up with a pair of shocks and a picture of a guy going :thefinger:...

Barnum and Baily said it correctly years ago..'There is a sucker born every minute'!!!

Send a copy over to your state AG office and then run away from this scam.
