Sounds like a rock stuck in my tire... but no rock! Other sources?

So the repair shop said bend over and we will tell how much you owe us or we hold your truck until you pay us. Have you tried another repair shop? If I were you I would try another shop, sometimes you can find a shop that has that one guy that knows every oddball thing about vehicles. if not, jack the truck up completely off the ground and start it up and just start pushing on stuff to see if something is loose or not right. Then while still SECURELY ON JACKSTANDS, put it in drive and rev it up and listen. Might get lucky and find something. Have you tried rotating the tires to see if the sound follows the tires? If all else fails turn up the radio. If that don't work you can buy an amp and some subs and then really turn up the radio. That's what I do if I hear something bothering me. crank up the 15" sub in the back and no more worries.

...what? no. chill. when I took it in to have them look at the ujoints they said ujoints look fine and they couldn;'t figure out what the noise was from. THen on the test drive the noise was gone. We joked around and they said 'if it comes back just drop it off and we'll find the noise.' and I said 'I'll leave it with you as long as it takes'

it's a good shop, good people.

I had a rotational noise that came and went from my front passenger wheel. Finally found that a couple of the push rivets came loose on the inside fender skirt over the upper control arm and would only rub on curves and turns.

UPDATE
Couldn't get ujoint bolts off, so haven't replaced that or the pinion seal. Found many more rust holes in the exhaust. Ebrake checked out. Passenger side brakes checked out. Couldn't get off drivers side drum. Everything up front looked good.

Also found signs of rubbing on the inside of my passenger tire next to the wheel. just can't figure out what it would be hitting.

On the bright side, I did drop to the last shackle hole to level the truck out a bit, changed the oil, and cleared out my blower motor.
