soooo....

tie rod ends dont cost 800 bucks to replace im sorry but that tire shop is ripping you off since to replace my balljoints it will cost 1200 and thats harder than tie rod ends

Kind of what I figured, I don't trust either tire shop in town, nor would I pay that much to have ball joints or tie rod ends replaced. I'm kind of wondering if its just something out of adjustment because if I jack up the front end and try to wiggle the wheel assemblies around there's no free play, its almost like someone intentionally angled the wheels that way.

Glad to here you are doing good, I just got more bad news on my B2 this evening. Its running great, however the front tires are leaning in towards eachother on the bottom. So I decided to go to the local tire shop to find out that it could possibly be the tie rod ends which is $800 at least to have fixed. Anyone else have this problem, and what's the fix? Tired of wearing tires out on the inside, and not wanting to put a new set of tires on until I find out and fix what's wrong. If it is ball joints how hard are they to do myself?

Start a new thread with some pics and someone will give advice. That seems a little high unless parts are included. Depending on what exactly is wrong you can buy parts AND tools and still be at 1/2 that quote. But if you have no time....

Will do thanks. I'm working around 40-60 hours a week now with summer coming around people are doing weddings, parties, graduations, etc. So we are doing a lot of catering at work so it really helps boost my hours.

yea for my ball joints they said just for the moog ball joints it would cost 300 and i already had moog ball joints that i bought and for all four they ran me 90 buck at napa and thats where the shop gets their parts so i knew it was a rip off
