somethings wrong with the wire in my steering wheel

Short to ground. Pull off the steering wheel covers and go looking for damaged wires, or especially a damaged combination switch. Keep a fire extinguisher in the passenger seat, or don't turn the igntion on.
Oh, and I don't think whipping your windshield will have much effect on it....
