see, you dont understand the "mod bog" culture.
A truck with a regular lift rates at the bottom of the pole
a truck with a dangerous homemade lift rates higher
the more dangerous/hick built the lift the higher the rig rates
Finally at the top of the totem pole is the lifted schoolbus/chevette/garbage truck/submarine
Also, the bigger the tires, the higher the rig rates. If you wanted to build a kickass rig for "mud bogs" you would want a garbage truck, on 5 ton rockwells, with 12' tall tractor tires, and a lift made from tractor links you purchased at TSC. Sure it wouldnt flex much, but that does not matter, as its only for the mud... right?
See, its a little different than the "wheeling" culture where rigs are built to be reliable, work well, and have safe recovery points.
thats funny stuff... and it took 8 posts before anybody said anything other than 'hey nice build' or 'lookin good man!'
Yea most of them are real sarcastic on that site. THey are all real good guys who will help with any problem that you have, but they will tear you a new you know what if you cobble something together. Or wheel illegally.

The one from ToddACimer is my buddy. Totally agree with him (maybe a little extreme).
