Somebody tried to steal my B2!

yeah I like the killswitch idea, WATCH OUT when you get it back on the road running again. They tried to get it once and probably be back to get it again, I have seen that happen before. Rotten bastards:annoyed:

of course my 12 gauge and 30-06 is a little more concerning to the low life roach that tries to steal anything of mine..

they know, they tried to break in our explorer one night, broke out the front right glass. i fired a couple .357 mag shots.. they run FAST!!!!

im wiring a kill switch across the fuel inertia switch circut now and i just had a good idea for switch placement! since my truck dosn't have a/c, i thought about getting an heater/fan switch panel from a truck with ac, and using the A/C switch as a kill switch!

ofcourse theres no substitute for S&W

Friend of mine has a relay wired to bridge the negative battery cable. He keeps a small rocker switch under the dash to operate the relay.

My jeep was nice, you couldn't start it with the key even if you were a master mechanic/pro car thief. It had a small pushbutton under the dash that you had to press as well, although sometimes you didn't need the key which bothered me some.

I don't have anything in it that's worth taking unless they want a tarp, an empty fire extinguisher, and some empty packs of cigarettes. I think I'm gonna peel off all my stickers on my back window. No sense advertising, thats just like i'm asking someone to steal it.

Yup. W.V.C. Hey, at least I don't live in Magna! :thefinger:

I've lived in Magna, WVC, and Taylorsville. My Mustang was broke into SIX times in WVC, and I had one of my tail light lenses stolen when I lived in Taylorsville (close to the Big Lots in Kearns).

The only time I got the WVPD to even care was when we actually CAUGHT one of the damn kids who tried to steal my Mustang. It was obviously their first time attempting a GTA. They were taking the screws out of the steering column cover when my Dad walked outside and said "what we doin' here boys?" Two of the three got away, and their dumb asses left their parents car across the street running.

I'm surprised WVPD are pursuing the Susan Powell case now. It was stagnant for quite a while.

So far, it's been OK in Magna for 7 years....knock on wood.

Damn thieves. Lowest form of life on earth. the no driveshaft thing is pretty hilarious, would have loved to see his face. I am looking into installing an alarm, some hidden kill switches, etc. Cheap and easy insurance to protect what I have worked hard for. Also thinking about a removable steering wheel. Im a light sleeper so if I am home they will certainly meet the barrel of my 9mm.

Best thing to do is keep it hidden, in the garage, close to the house, etc. Nothing is theft proof, just make it that much harder to steal than the next guys car/truck. For vehicles that may sit for a long time perhaps some sort of homemade boot to make it immovable. Watching the news I saw some thieves cut the chain to a fenced in yard, hook up to the victims trailer, load his jeep up and drive away. What a nightmare.

I've have a write up on making your vehicle theft deterent, I'll paste it here:

Step 1:
Join NRA (National Rifle Association)

Step 2:
Affix member decal to back window of vehicle, please see sample below:
nra_logo.jpg

Step 3:
Watch thieves approach vehicle then walk away briskly when decal in back window is noticed, moving on to a target with less risk.

As an added bonus, it annoys liberals.

I like the removeable steering wheel idea. :icon_thumby:

Wow kinda fill blessed. I leve all my keys in my trucks. My garage door is open most of the time. Most of the time someone is allways home tho. Have onley had one guy try to break in to my truck. Was christmas time a few years back in walmart parking lot. Come out to see creep lookin in my truck, pullin on the handles. Yes it was locked. I yelled out very loudley, You som-bitch wtf are you doin. lol Looked at me than off he went.

Wow. Some of you guys are unfortunate. I have an aftermarket radio in my truck and I can leave the windows wide open and not have anything stolen out of it. But that doesn't mean that a lowlife thief could come by and swipe something though.
