Hi guys, new to the ranger station, bought a 95 ranger 4x4 4.0 5 speed as my first ranger build for a mild trail rig, so I will cut to the chase, my tires I bought for it to start are some maxxis bighorns 32x11.5x15 wanted bigger but got a killer deal of 110$ each new. so I've done allot of reading on lifts, I plan on eventually going 35s, so should I invest in a nice Duff 3inch or skyjacker 4inch eventually build on to it with radius arms 6inch later or say just do a leveling kit or piece together 2inch lift and save for the 6 inch kit with arms later. Just hate buying stuff twice. Just seeing what you guys think would be better for my dollar. Thanks

Lots of ways to go about it. On my 1989 Bronco II choptop I started with 2" coils and 31's because I had the coils from a parts truck. Then I replaced that with a 3" Duff lift up front and Explorer leafs in the back with an extra leaf or two and started running 33's because I was given a set. Then I pieced in parts for the budget lift - F-150 spring perches in the front and Chevy drop shackles in the rear, which put me about 5" total lift. Then went a 2" body lift and 35's...

Oh, and would you like me to delete the thread like this you put in the wrong spot?

yes please delete, alright yeah seems like tons of ways to go about it. iam thinking of starting off with duff 3 inch kit. Would it make difference in flex duff 3 inch vs say skyjacker leveling springs? i want to get the best performance i can out of the 32 inch tires for the time being. probley get sway bar disconnects.

Duff coils from what I've seen tend to be a little stiffer than Skyjacker, but Duff is a progressive rate spring which means it gets stiffer the more you compress it. Skyjacker is a constant rate like the factory coils. Difference in flex? Likely not much, especially if you don't do extended arms right away. I'm ok with the flex I get. Someday I may put longer coils in, but it's low on the priority list.
