I cant make my mind up on how i should do my front sus.
leaf packs seem easy, but do the flex
3 and 4 link flex, but i cant afford king coilovers

Im open to all ideas
p.s. i live at the salvage yard (well almost)

A well tuned leaf pack can still flex pretty damn well.

I'm running a leaf pack from a 3/4 ton chevy in front, with a few leaves removed and an extended shackle and I get 18" of wheel travel. (From stuffed to full droop)

But your truck is a 97, so it's already set up for coils. If it's a trail rig I'd use some XJ coils.

Most people use EB coils.

the only reason i was thinking leaf packs is i really dont want to mess with mounting links. i drive the truck up and down the mountain really fast, and i also try to break it on the rocks, mud, and air.

I'll tell ya now leaves are a bitch. You already have coil buckets, you can easily make an EB D44 or even a Full width fit.

High steer gets wicked expensive if you go SOA, or if your pack is too thick like mine and you have to use 1.5" cold rolled bar with a bend and a pitman arm from a ZJ.

If you get a donor rig, you can use the full size control arm brackets, long ass rad arms, (Close to a 3 ft)

You can just bolt up the brackets, and then run a trac bar. The 73 to 79 full size use a shock tower / trac bar mount that makes it really easy to bolt up.

depends which axle you get.
