sold my ranger

had a decent 91 ranger 4x4 with 4.o. ended up selling it without the system and without the truck toolbox for 1700. not to shabby i must say. now im in the process of trading my old camper for a 1985 ford f150 2wd with the 300 straight six. cant wait! i loved havin the ranger but it was killin me in gas drivin 50 miles a day!

Dude, I drive closer to 60 miles a day. Have for a few years now. It doesn't suck down that much gas. Not compared to what a 300 will.

if that 300 comes with a manual tranny and an overdrive, you might get close to 20 mpg if it's empty, going downhill, with a tail wind, coasting in neutral. jk.

Looking at the specs in his sig, I bet it was pretty hard on fuel... I agree that a anemic 300 probably won't be a vast improvement though.

OK, I missed the 33's with 3.55 gears. Yeah, I bet that sucked gas down faster than my dad's 250. If you get that thing up around 70 you can literally watch the needle drop.

My "92 sucks on fuel and i have a similar configuration.

yeah it could drink gas like no other. i ended up not getting the 300. the guy didnt tell me how bad it was. it was BAD!!! with a ton of issues haha. o well. lookin at gettin my car fixed now that i have some cash. i missed my lil sports car. btw its an 04 dodge stratus coupe with the inline 4 cyl and 5 speed manual. not the fake manual either. and a few aftermarket mods made it fuuuuun to drive! much better gas mileage too.
