so yea...

I guess if mom and pop just buy a car every time you get stuck, you don't have the need to learn responsibility.

get on craigs list, find another ranger for cheap, around here i know u can get clean 1st and 2nd gen rangers all day long for under 1k LOL

Not around here. I wish i could

Wow, what an asshole. They aren't buying me a new car. they are helping me get a new car. and I think I'm pretty responsible seeing as I work 2 jobs and pay my own way through school. theres no need to be a dick.

oh yea, and I talked to the owners today. They don't even live in the state but they know that people use the land to ride on and they don't care as long as nothing illegal is taking place. They did say that they asked the police to keep and eye on the place about a year ago as there was a bunch of underage drinking and drug use going on back there. But that they don't tow vehicles, but the sheriff might have. But I haven't heard anything from the sheriff so all arrows point to it being taken. :flipoff::lame:

around here on more then once occasion the cops sat on a car for a extended period of time in there impound until they notified the owners it had been towed, polic impound works the same as a towing yard, they dont tell u until thye have to to rack up some storage fees, in check the local impound yards over good, if the sheriff towed it it would be in one of them

I can't see it getting towed off of private property that night/morning though, around here cars just sitting on the side of the road are there for a couple days before they disappear.

yeah, same here. they put a sticker on the window with the date and time. i think it has to be there 24 hours before it gets towed.

ya you dont leave your truck left out in the woods around here, broken windows is the least thing they would do. burning it is the worst thing, after they beat the piss out of it. it sucks, i feel for you, i would be so pissed. you are looking to hard its probly in one of those places you would never look man. it happend to two of my buddies. look every were.

That sucks...

And that's also why I carry the gear in my truck to be able to stay with it should I get stranded somewhere until help arrives. Let people know whereabout you're planning on going an when you should be back. I have a cell on me and a CB too. If I get stuck and can't get free, I'm not gonna be far away, that's for sure. Too many people out there that will abuse stuff for the hell of it.

As much as I hate to say it, it's probably buried/stripped in the middle of no-where (don't look where a truck could have gone, look where an idiot might have taken a truck), or someone's new toy. Check local junkyards, talk to neighbors in the area, find the nastiest holes that you are certain the truck couldn't have gone to look, etc.

My dad knew a guy years back that did construction work, went out an bought a brand new Ford 4x4 E-350 van, loaded it with his work tools and the thing promptly got stolen. It was found over a month later, empty of tools and beat to hell so far back in the middle of no-where that it couldn't be retrieved. Well, not so much far back in there as in a place that it amazed people that they were able to drive a big van back in there.

Good luck finding it, hopefully you'll get it back without too much damage.

Oh, and IMHO, I'd look for a Ranger (if you need a pickup) or look for a Bronco II (very capable lil buggers).

Thank yall. I have looked all around. I've pretty much given up hopes of finding it, but i will keep my eyes open and I'm going to look around some more when I get another ride, as I can't take my sister's mustang to many places. I'm looking at 88 bronco II tomorrow and an 90 and 91 f150 inline 6 cyl. both under $2000, so its in my price range with out my parents help. I also might look at a 89 jeep Cherokee thats for sale too. anybody have any experience with the the inline 6 or the cherokee? They are also all manual trannies, yay or nay?

i/we baited a few times to weed out the local ass tards fawking up shit locally, it was getting too regular.

dont buy the jeep or the fullsize 6 wheezers, they wont get as good economy as the b2.

I'd go for the BII unless you really need a fullsize pickup. The BII will go a lot of places a fullsize will simply not fit. The only thing the heep has going for it is the d-30 front, it's already sas'd. But then again, those don't have real frames either...

Well the guy sold the BII before I could get over there and one of the F150's, or so he said. The other one I looked at from another guy was in really rough shape (been used as a work truck), and the jeep wouldn't even start up for the guy. I do have a line on 93 f150 thats close to my house and I'm just waiting for the guy to call me back when he gets back from the chicken sales to go look at it. wants a lil more that the others, but my parents said they will help out. I kinda really wanted something smaller and better on gas, but everything out of the classifieds are already sold and whatnot. I guess it'll be nice to have more room than the ranger...

the 300ci ford motors where great, low power, but great.... i would compare it to a 3.0 liter in a ranger. they have been basically the same motor from the '50s but with E.F.I., not really a gas saver though.

ok, well i got it. Its a 93 F-150 with an inline 6 and an auto tranny. The paint is rough but the body is straight and the engine was clean. There is a lot of rust on the back bumper and the side-view mirrors, but i'll probably sand them down and paint them black. It also drives perfectly, even though a lil underpowered. It has dual tanks...and was owned by two women. The interior is pretty good condition too, but you can tell if was a work truck. I got it for 2400, so its a descent deal in my opinion. I'll have pictures later on.
