So Red threadlocker comes in blue bottles? opps!

The bolts should come out without any trouble. Why would you use threadlocker on starter bolts?? I have never had any problems in this area.
I had problems for a long time with my starter coming loose. For whatever reason it hasn't happened recently.

yeah, my red came in a blue bottle, and blue in a red...

blue is medium (there's a green that's not as strong)
red is high heat, harder to get off (after a few days of sitting at work, still easy to get off with a 3/8" ratchet using new bolts into a new engine block)
green is sleeve retainer, it's pretty strong, if you want something press fit and it not to move, use this stuff!

then there's the white thread sealant stuff, that stuff is a good loctite, if you leave it set for a few days, you'll need to heat it to get it loose...

This is no big deal. When it's time to pull the starter, unscrew the bolts like normal. They'll be a bit harder than usual to break loose, but not especially horrible.

I've had starter bolts back out before.

The issue is some idiot overtightening the bolts. This distorts the threads, and they don't "grab" in the same way anymore. The fix is a Helicoil next time you change the clutch (you can't really get decent access for a drill with the transmission installed, especially for the upper bolt). And give the starter a "shake" test every once in a while.

Backed off starter bolts can cause intermittent no-crank conditions.

But how the HELL did you not see what color threadlocker you were putting on the bolts? If I try to put threadlocker on without looking at it, I paint dribbles all over the driveway.
