I like my Diesel..... it is stupid simple....... I like simple, simple is easy to work on.
I also like the 22 mpg I got in a Full size 3/4 ton 4x4 when I drove it to the airport in Chicago and the 24..... almost 25 mpg it got when my wife drove it to New Ulm MN (when I quit the last job I will ever have as a company driver) so I could get all my gear home.
getting back to a 50 state legal diesel engine ....... the one that BMW and Audi developed still get in the 40s almost 50 mpg in the Audi and in the high 20s for the BMW (I-6) so it can be done but you just can't let Ford build it because they would **** it up.
