122k, and all 8 were the factory plugs and wires.
the electrodes were half way burnt off, and the remaining gap was at .082 instead of .042 where it belongs.
i had to remove the upper intake manifold and disconnect the egr at both ends, but six hours and 8 broken plugwires later, i had 8 new plugs, a bosch wireset, and 40 more horsepower.
still, i find it kind of funny that with the plugs half way melted on both sides of the head, it still had more pep than my 88 2.3 did.
i desperately hope that there's a better way of changing the driver's side bank, but somehow i know there isn't, and that ford doesn't care that i have to take the top of the engine apart to change wear items.
