Don't get to excited. It's not porn.

I thought you guys were interested in her Ranger build?

The new V8 is out of the F150 and sitting on the garage floor. The guy's still hanging on to it for her.

HAHAHA way to hang it out there long enough to set the hook. :icon_rofl::yahoo:

So what is her site, and why is she not doing a build thread for us here?

By the way, for anyone interested Ive seen two 5.4l engine for sale in craigslist around my area( u mentioned v8's) One of which is a navigator motor from 1999. DOHC, cant beat it. Muscle mustangs and fast fords(or was it 5.0 magazine) did an Intake shootout and the lincoln navigator stock intake manifold produced better torque numbers than 6 of the nations top aftermarkets intakes. (the others had better hp number )

Is the donor engine a 5.0?

I've been wondering how fullsize 5.0's compare to Explorer and Mustang 5.0's. Eventually I would like to put both full width axles and a V8 in my Ranger, and by eventually I mean in three or four years. :D

Buying one vehicle as a parts donor would be splendid. Otherwise, I could always just buy an exploder for parts and use the rear end out of that and forget about a 4x4 SAS conversion.. since I have decided to remain stock height and use the truck for my work vehicle until I can afford a nice van or fullsize truck.

teh 5.0 blocks are all teh same for the most part. The intakes are the most varying part. stock gt's have a lower profile intake than the trucks deisgned for more HP, whereas teh trucks are designed for torque, (also cam prodiles are different) the explorers I believe came with the GT40 intake? which is a nice mod to the mustang 5.0 block wise they are all the same it the accessories and placement of them that really differs.

You would be best served with an explorer 5.0 from around 98. Keep in mind though that the mercery mountaineers had 5.0s more commonly and are cheaper and easier to find.

ok now again on topic...weres the lingerie site link??:D:D

i just came with the idea of a calendar, the guys did the rest...

the navigator's engine is an improved version of the 5.4, that would be a kicka$$ engine for a proyect

I had the opportunity to get a 5.0/Auto/Tcase complete from a F150 for $350. The drivetrain is good. Body is shot and brake lines rusted, so the owner is selling me (her) the drivetrain and scrapping the rest.

Her truck has a body lift, so I don't think getting the taller intake to clear will be a problem

The truck has a 2.9, but needs a transmission. I didn't want to put a A4LD in and this seems like it's going to be the cheapest route.

No adapters. The whole engine/trans/t-case is going in.

The navi, ( icould be worng) is just like the 4.6 in how ford started with one thing and just fixed mistakes, (adding PI heads to 4.6) the difference is the DOHC motor was only found in the 2000 cobra R, and is too expensive to put in the ford line. The lincoln line is high end and had a much better shot of selling. Had ford actually put hte DOHC in the expedition, Ithink it would have done even bette than it did. But they have the diesel for it now, so they made up for it that way.

u are putting the 5.0 with his own transmission? so whats the a4dl is doing on the plan?

I think you should pick up a 5 spd, but thats just me. Or a 3 speed with granny low. Does it have the manual transfer case or electronic?

Thanks for the info on my question, I would probably go with the Exploder engine.. EFI = Better mpg right?

Oh and Jim, is there a thread on the site anywhere that shows what her truck looks like? I can't seem to remember.

EFI "can" get better mileage if you build it and tune it right. But withthe applications Im sure you have in mind, throw mileage out the window. With any buld and 5.0 your gonna stay around 12-16 mpg. Assuming you dont hammer it. I'd definitely recommend an aftermarket block if your gonna get serious thouhg, the stock iron cant take more than I think 400, maybe 5.

well a 5spd would be nice, but since trucks gonna be driven by a lady, an auto trans is the way to go
