I know there's a lot of rim options out there for the B2.. I just want to buy a new set of cheap wheels & here's what I'm thinking.

I would like to run this tire & wheel set-up on my '89 B2 4x4 with a 4" Rough Country lift, Bushwacker Cutouts & stock D28 & 7.5 rear.

Cragar Soft 8 Wheels

Wheel Diameter 15 in.
Wheel Width (in) 8.00 in.
Backspacing (in) 4.000 in.
Offset (mm) -13.00mm
Center Bore Diameter (in) 3.300 in.

Tires will be a 33x12.5x15

=====================================

With that said... Anyone see any issues with this setup as a street driven vehicle? Are the tires too wide? The offset correct? I'm thinking of the 4" offset due to the Bushwacker cutouts that I have. I don't want the wheel sucked in the wells with those huge flares. So... What changes would you make (if any) to the above wheel & tire size??

Thanks,
Bear

33's with a stock engine and stock gears are going to be hell on your clutch/auto trans

I have a carbed 302 ('95 Mustang GT motor) & C4 to swap in this Summer.. I want to do the D35 & I have an 8.8 that I'm in the middle of building right now..

What gears are you putting in the new axles?

:annoyed: I is jealous now.

ive got the same wheel specs and tire size on my 2001 wit ha 4.0 and auto with 4.10 gears. i love it no problems other that normal wear and tear after 15k miles. that said im not sure if the difference in front axles ttb dana vs IFS dana 35 in regards to the wheel bearings would make a difference in how well it holds up. cant wait to see a build thread on the 5.0 swap

Would I be better off going with a 33x10.5 tire?

No, I meant you can't get a cheaper 15x8. At least not one that is worth having.

I know... I was just asking if it would be a better ride if I went with a smaller tire.. 12.5 is kinda wide..

I guess it depends on what you are doing with it.

I'm planning on driving it on work now & then. (100% street use, about 30 miles a week) I guess I can just go with the 12.5's because the motor/trans swap will be started by Fall anyway.. The Axels should be before the Fall.. ???

I guess it depends on what you are doing with it.
