'93 w/ 2.3- I snapped the line that connects the fuel pressure regulator to the the intermediate piece that attaches to the main vacuum port.

By intermediate piece I mean the part that has the two egr lines and the fuel pressure regulator attached to it that attaches to the main vac port. It is a gray piece that attaches three lines to three main vac ports.

My question is, does the FPR line need to be routed to this piece? Can I just block off the broken line and run a new line from an empty port to the FPR and have it work correctly?

*The truck has been sitting for 8 years, that is probably why the vac lines were brittle enough to snap.

just run some new vacuum hose to it from any manifold vacuum port.

Ok, I wasn't sure if the mystery piece did anything required for the FPR to work correctly, like limit vacuum. It seems unnecessary, I figured it must have some purpose.
