snapped bolt

Torqing the front driveshaft and snapped a bolt off. Its the torx head that couples the Ujoint to the axle. I'm not sure that my abilities or temper level would equal a successful snapped bolt removal operation. I'm going to take it to the shop and have it removed.

If I don't use the 4x4 can I drive the truck? Or should I remove the front shaft until I have the bolt removed?

Should be fine to drive it to a shop that way.

I was thinking more of driving it around "until" I get it to the shop. Which would probably be closer to winter time.

why not just give it a try at coming out? you might get lucky
