I have a 96 f150 302 with air injection pump, And I would like to get rid of it and all the air bypass valve at the rear of the engine........So my question is what do you guy do or how I can cap it off with to much trouble????

Thanks Karl:icon_cheers:

I used to think like you do and took a lot of emissions stuff off. I put it back on. The computer doesn't like it when that is done and 99.9% of the time the engine will run worse and fuel consumption WILL go up. Unless you know what your doing, and if you're asking- you don't.... don't change anything. Buy some books on emissions and EFI and learn what you're doing before screwing with your truck. I just bought three books on this subject so that I can do what you're wanting without screwing up my truck, and it's a race truck and doesn't have to pass any tests, which you likely have to do [ what you're doing may be against the law ].

Just use a shorter serpentine belt and bypass the smog pump. Leave the rest as is, just incase you need to pass smog later.
