I was HF today to buy a new appliance dolly & they have a flyer thats good for 3 days only June 8,9 & 10. Its advertising there 12,000 lb winche on sale for $299.99 a savings of $200

And theres even a statement printed

It's tempting, but don't buy a slow winch. If it isn't in the neighborhood of 30+ft per min don't get it. It's cool to have a winch on your truck, so if you don't really need a winch those are the ones to get. You order a container box of winches from China and throw your own stickers on them.

The problem with the cheap winches is that it's a serious commitment unlocking the clutch and pulling out cable. You are going to spend 10-15 minutes winding it back in while the winch whirrs on endlessly killing your battery and grinding itself to bits.
