My credo
Hand me that tool, will ya?
I currently have a solid rear window and would like to change it to a slider. (miss that feature) Can this be done simply by just purchasing the kit and installing it? It seems to me that the sliding track would be different and somehow wouldn't fit. Don't want to pull the trigger on the purchase util I'm sure.
Thanks

Ignore this my friends. It's a redundant post. I'll be ok.

What you can do is get a window from a truck that has the same cab style you have now (standard cab or super cab) and swap it into your truck.

What you CANNOT do is put a super cab rear window into a single cab or vise versa.

You'll need the rubber gasket with the window, it is specific to solid glass or slider.

I agree but this is completely year dependent, '83-97 regular cabs used the same rear window and '86-11 extended cabs used the same rear window but '98-11 regular cabs used the extended cab rear window as well...

They made rear slider windows in 1907? For that matter, they made Rangers in 1907?

I'm sure it's a miskey on vehicle information. In anycase, the above information given about regular cabs and supercabs is correct. The window sizes are different.

That's why I filled out the whole year range just for good measure to cover all the bases...
