Hey guys, I just recently replaced the slave cylinder in my 94 4.0 liter ranger. After mounting the transmission back in, I refilled the transmission fluid and began to bleed out the the slave cylinder. However, no fluid came out. I checked the clutch fluid level and it seems fine. I pressed the clutch pedal and had no resistance at all. It returned back to the normal upright position after I let the pedal go. With the car off, I tried moving the stick and it is stuck in neutral and will not shift into any gears even if I try using the clutch pedal. I tried starting the truck, but it wouldn't start and now the clutch pedal will not depress. Not sure what is going on.

Double check the line fitting to make sure it is actually seated in the slave. It usually takes a few rounds to get fluid from a dry slave, but not being able to put the clutch down sounds like the check valve is closed.

Thanks, I was able to bleed the slave and get the clutch to depress. But the stick will only shift into reverse and 5th now.
