hey guys, jus picked up a 92 ranger xlt, short bed, single cab, 5 spd, but tranny is out of a 94-95 ranger which according to tech library on here runs the same tranny until like 2001. its a 2.3l 5 spd. i got a nasty slave cylinder leak, now, the feed line, going from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder, is there supposed to be a plastic cap that snaps into tranny with that line feeding thru it? ill post pics but dude that owned my truck before i bought it looks like he shot stucko up into the tranny to keep the line in place and i guess there is a crush pin that secures the line to the slave cylinder???? is this correct? my intentions are to pull tranny, replace throw out bearing and slave cylinder, im jus wondering if im missing parts???? the truck is a POS
ok how do i add pics from my computer onto this thread too???
