ok its been a long time so i can't remember. but whats the issues with the skyjacker 8" kit? i herd people call it "scary steering" before and i don't really know why. i would really like to go with this kit

Thanks, Jeremy

I believe it's because of the design of the RBV steering (the inverted Y type) and that a drop pitman arm is only good for about 6" at the most, after that it starts to get stretched too much. I've even heard people say that 6" of lift is too much for the stock style steering.

I believe SuperRunner makes a modified steering setup for RBVs but I'm not really sure. I think most people when they want to run 8" or more on an RBV tend to go with a SAS swap so they can run a simpler steering setup.

yes superrunner make a steering set up thats about 800 dollars and the most people that lift 8 inches go sas isnt true there are a bunch of trucks running the superrunner steering and 8 inches of lift. its expensive but worth the money do a little searching about it on here you will find lots of info.

I'm sure there is a lot of people running that steering or they wouldn't be making it, lol.

It just seems like most of the people on a budget do not want to spend the big bucks for the steering kit, if you have some fab skills, $800 might be enough to SAS your rig and you end up with a simpler steering design....

No. The Superrunner steering deal is made by SuperLift, and it is NOT for 8" lift kits. It is advertised specifically for ONLY 4-6". Bronco Graveyard has it for $419, not that it matters, because 8" of suspension lift is retarded anyway.

If you want 8" of lift, run a 6" suspension lift and 2"-3" body lift.
