I found a set of EB Skyjacker 6" springs on CL and I'm planning on using the 4" lift holes on my TTB on my 89 Bronco II.. Question is will these be too tall of a spring and does anybody know the PPI on them?

Everything I've read says 3.5" EB springs should be good for about 4-5" lift. So very likely those will be much too tall.

By the time you make lower coil seats to fit them they will definitely be too tall.

I used 3.5 BC Bronco coils and I only got MAYBE 3 inches of lift INCLUDING my 1" tall adapter plate on the beam.

I bet those SkyJackers are awful stiff though.

So for my BII it should sit a little higher than yours because your front end weighs more than a BII. Are you running the EB 3.5" springs?

Here is a pic of my Ex with JD 3.5" EB lift coils (175/225 ppi) that are 22.5" free length. They sit on top of my coil adapters.

The rest of the kit was a JD 5.5" lift.

Here's 5.5" EB coils (215/300ppi) 23" free length.

No, they are custom made adapters. And yes, I'm running BC Bronco 3.5" coils with a 1" tall adapter and I only netted 2.5-3 inches of lift. The BC Bronco coils are extremely SOFT. 22" extended length.

Are those Duff's lower coil retainers?

Kinda sorta but not really. I take the HD lower retainers and weld up the holes then punch a new hole and add the foot and gussets. JD lowers are $75, mine are less than that.

I'm using skyjacker 112 coils. They are 3.5" EB coils and gave me about 4" of lift (with the bottom retainer).

I used some James Duff 5.5" coils and they were a nightmare. Gave me about 6.5" of lift and SOOOO much spring that it did weird things. They bowed out randomly and tried to make my TTB beams drive away from each other!

4.0B2 are you sure those aren't Superlift coils? I searched around online, but don't see a Skyjacker 112. I thought about going to Jeep or EB coils for a while because my truck is light in the front, but I haven't made a decision yet. I need to get F-250 or comparable travel shocks in it first.

Yeah that. Lol
