been struggling to find a way to get only 2 inches of lift, in addition to leveling my front end on my 2wd 96 ranger, finally found 2 inch suspension kit from skyjacker comes with coil springs and add a leafs. was wondering is it possible to buy and use coil spacers with the set of new lift coil springs that come with the suspension lift kit from skyjacker?

thanks

You're gonna want to get a 4in lift. It will cost less than what you are planning to do. Not only that, if I got this right, you are planning to do more than 2in on the stock brackets for the TIBs which is not a good thing. You will not be able to get the camber back into stock specs. You're gonna need lift bracket, so you might as well get a 4 in lift kit. If your looking for cheap go with the Rough County kit. Here: http://www.roughcountry.com/suspension/2wd-ford/ranger_83-97_4.html

Also, that 2 in kit you mentioned is a leveling kit. If all you are trying to do is to get an off road look, just get coil spacers to level it out. Costs less and might be better for what you are looking for. With the 2in leveling kit, you are able to get 31's which should get you a pretty nice agressive off road look. Sorry to burst your bubble guy.

So the kit I'm talking about levels out the truck only? or does it also lift 2", if its just a level kit why does it come with add a leaf, does the kit in fact lift both ends of the truck passed the point of stock stance and height to be level? I only want 2 inches of lift but I also want my front end level. Will the kit I found previous just level out my truck, just lift my truck, or will it in fact do both?

It will lift you entire truck 2in but not level it out. (The front end and back end gets the same amount of lift. Meaning both ends of the truck will be lifted beyond stock height.) I kinda spaced out and just thought you were talking about the coil springs when in fact you were talking about the actual kit with the add-a-leafs. The way you want your truck lifted will have to be with a 4in lift kit. That will level out your truck and give you a 2in lift.

if you wanna level it out, just get the coils OR the coil spacers - dont use the add-a-leaf too. from what i've read, the poly (plastic, or whatever they are) are a waste of money. they make aluminum coil spacers, so i would go with those, or like i said, get the leveling coils.
