just bought em, looked in the tech library but there wasnt any good pictures... anyone done this before? what all am i going to need to get? tools? pictures? advice?:icon_confused:

All you need is a jack, jackstands, LOTS of PB Blaster(or similar), a good set of sockets and wrenches, and time. it also helps if you got a friend to help ya.just be careful on the shock stud mount on your radius arm

You will need to support the truck so that the suspension can hang freely.

Remove front tires
Remove brake calipers
Unbolt shocks
Unbolt sway bar down links from the axle beams
Remove lower coil retainer nut (1 1/8" socket or wrench)
Step down on the hub to force the axle beam downwards and twist the coil out of the upper coil bucket mount.
Install new coils and reinstall everything you removed.

Don't forget to get the alignment checked when your done:icon_thumby: I wanna add some coils to my truck so bad! But its way down the list in the order of things I gotta fix lol. Post a pic when you get em on there. I'd like to see it

Sasquatch rider has it prettymuch covered. I have the same coils and did it prettymuch the way he said it, minus the radius arm and caliper. Trust me, go with what he said. I used a spring compressor and it was HELL to work with.

I'm in the middle of putting Rough Country leveling coils on my '93. I got sidetracked by some rust issues with the spring perch stud and other hardware and noticed i had some leaking axle seals and a bad u-joint, so i had to deal with those first.

I took a 6x6x10 piece of wood and supported it with 3 jackstands to get it up and oddly enough, my coils just flopped out of the shock towers. I began removing the nut that holds the spring to the spring perch with my 1 1/8 impact, and when i got it off, i noticed my stud was almost rusted through. The nut part of the stud was also rusted almost off. It took alot of heat and pb blaster, but i was able to get the stud out and i ordered new ones because i'm sure the passenger side is just as bad. i live in the rust belt though. i hope you have better luck.

Jack the truck up from the chassis, use jackstands.
Remove Brake caliper and tie it down so you don't strain the brake hose
Remove sway bar (if present)
Remove the nut retaining the coil with a big socket (1 1/8 if I remember correctly, I'm at work), extension and breaker bar from the top of the bucket.
If you lifted your truck enough, the coil will slide right out. Because you're installing a 2" bigger coil you just need to push the arm down and slide the new coil in; what worked for me was to first put the coil over the arm stud and then turning in in the bucket to make it slide under the retainer on the top.
Reassemble everything and get to the other side. :icon_thumby:

Does the 2" springs goof up the alignment bad? do you need to replace anything to fix the alignment?

you will def. need an alignment when you are done..and the shop is probably gonna tell you that you need alignment bushing with more adjustment...if you dont get an alignment your front end will look like this \ /.
