does anyone have any plans for building a skid plate i want to make one for my truck but i dont know waht size plate or where to mount the skid plate any help would be appreciated

umm lol well what is the best things to cover like the lower part of the engine or the engine and front diff???

because i have my brush bar on there now that is bolted to the frame rails and i was thinking of adding a skit plate to that like it will go from the bottom of the brush bar to the front diff or where every a skid plate ends and make it out of like 1/4 metal type thing

OK, so my thoughts are this ( I will be doing similar on the Ex that I am fixing up, thanks to Red85 for the donor vehicle). Reinforced plate from the brush bar/custom bumper to the cross member that 'sort of' protects the front axle and oil pan. Then from there reinforce plate down to just in front of the axle. It doesn't create a straight and flat piece but has a slight bend in it. I will have to fab up some brackets and crossbracing (angled steel) to mount the plates and give it some rigidity. It'll take some grinding, welding, and cursing to get it to all fit and look right.

I won't be able to build mine on until after the 6" suspension lift goes on since that will move where the front axle sits.

Not sure if that really helps but if you look from the front end you'll see the first crossmember I was talking about.

Since the front bumper is off my Ex I may start taking some measurements and start fabbing up some cardboard pieces to try and see how things will fit and look.
