Well, it is sitting on the side of the road so there's that...

This is a 58 Edsel Ranger and the front clip makes a neat transplant on a 57-9 Ranchero. The GM Ranger is obviously an Opel derivative- basically European goat excrement.

It was another failed marketing scheme.

I had never heard of the GM Ranger till it came up on the Youtube page.

I guess I'll be "that guy" id drive it.

it looks like an early 70s toyota celica

I kind of like the GT5 version...

140HP for an innline 6 in a small lightweight car is pretty good for the early 70s.

An interesting story, (literally lol) I read a book back in Jr. High that featured a car called that was a Ranger. the book was written in the late 60s, maybe this was the car. I thought it was a made up car, but the character that owned it was English/ European and imported the car to the US. the main characters of the book were looking for the owner of the car and their only clue was the car itself, which was not very well known.

It has a vaag for a face.

That’s all I can think of when I see one.
A magazine from back in the day said it looked like an Oldsmobile sucking a lemon. It must have been OK, Subaru ripped it off on their B9 Tribeca. I've grown to like the 58 Edsel grill but it took me years. They had a horn button mounted, electrically controlled shifter like nothing else that was almost as dopey as the cam drive on a 4.0 SOHC.

Alfa Romeo has been doing it for years as well.
