Sidiousx here

Got a 1994 4.0L Ranger XLT 5-speed as my first truck. My dad bought it brand new in 1994, drove it until he got an F-150 in '99, and now it's mine! Runs great, has like 380k on it, runs like new. I think my real goal is to keep it stock on the exterior, and the interior. My 4x4 isn't working atm, still trying to get that fixed... But anyways, hello everybody, glad to be here. :D

Here's some pics:

So far the only things I have replaced on the exterior are the front grille, the right rear tail-light(my brother broke my old one while taking the trash can in...), and the rear bumper (it was my brother's truck before mine, and he didn't baby this truck at all, he hit a guard rail once in the snow, and got rear-ended in a fender-bender. You might be able to see some fender damage in the right rear).

Sid, welcome to TRS!!!

First of all, the Ranger is a great first truck. Not enough power to get you into trouble, but enough to get the job done.

Like your dad (and MAYBE your brother) before you, may she serve you well.

What motor does she have?

Yeah, she's definitely a fighter, it's been very reliable to my dad and I. I baby this truck so much, my brother was very abusive with it, but it still held out. Doesn't have that much power, but has very good torque for the amount of power it has, this thing can get moving pretty good! It has the original 4.0L cologne V6 in it, as well as the original 5-speed manual. The only thing done to the engine is a K&N filter. I've grown attached to this truck, don't think I could ever sell it.

Iguess that goes to show how durable these Rangers are.

Those 4.0's are stoute motors, maybe not quite as bulletproof as the 2.3 Lima (like in mine), but still pretty good.
