i have a 1991 ranger rwd with a long bed that i am putting a rebuilt 1965 289 in

i am looking for exhaust options and i thought if i really wanted the truck to stand out as a ranger hotrod, some mean side exhaust pipes starting a few inches from the front tire well to the back like the old corvette stingrays used to have on them would be a good idea

i was looking at a universal kit by patriot going 2.5 from the front ending with 3inch openings, the 289 is pretty high performance, running high compression and cammed, i dont think it will have a problem pushing exhaust that big

so has anyone tried this?

and anyone agree it would look mean or is it a horrible idea lol

ive used this site since i got my ranger a year ago but this is first time ive posted on it

I think it would look good. I wouldn't use the shields though, I like the look of a clean straight pipe. Pics of your ranger? Also, if you run these I think the truck should sit level. They would look wierd if it had a rake to it. Just my .02
