Side mirrors

So I have a decision to make. My 94 B4000 is in need of a new side mirror. I have the fancy chrome power mirrors that only came on the 94 (& maybe 95) model year B4000 LE -- and I can't seem to find a OEM replacement. Been searching junk yards and eBay for a year. So I've decided to replace both mirrors with a matched aftermarket set.

The decision I need to make is whether the 06+ mirror conversion listed here will work on the early B4k which has some chrome trim all around the door frame where the mirrors mount. The pics in the instructions show a Ranger that doesn't have this trim. Would love to have the bigger mirror but don't want to waste 80 bucks. Anyone know if it will work?

Don't know if you are still around but the answer is yes. The 2006-2011 side view mirrors from a Ford Ranger will fit on a 94 B Series. I did the conversion myself today. However, there is an easier way to do it than the guide you linked. If you cut down the plastic mounts the 2006 mirror has and reinstall the mounting studs, the mirror will give you the same fitment as the tutorial you linked. Even then the fit won't be 100% flush. What I did was use some black RTV as filler where it's not flush to help keep the mirror weather tight.
