I think its a 429 from a mustang, at least that's what he said in the build thread for it

Yea, it's a 429, and the body was pretty beat. I got the entire truck for $950 basically the cost of the axles

F-you guys and your no salt states. 'round these parts we call that body PRISTINE!

It still has door bottoms, cab corners, and paint on the frame for crying out loud!

It was pretty dented up, and didn't have a bed. It had some really hack stuff done to it, and it did have some rust, but not tons

No doubt. And they wonder why we have to replace rear spring hangers and shock mounts every 4-5 years! Oh yeah and gas tank, lucky my skid plate is there.(don't worry truck is yard use only)

If you guys think its so pristine then come buy it then

Would If i had the cash and time. I mean, theres still Paint on the frame. You don't see that around here after 10 years.

If it was a mid 80s Chevy K20 body I'd be all over it. Looking for one to drop this motor and tranny in...

Yup, that would be labeled as zero rust around here. I wish we just used salt around here - the calcium chloride EATS vehicles so fast it actually IS funny. I've seen a one year old car blow a brake line from rust. My grandfather bought a chevy van that at 5 years old - the frame snapped in half.
