Hey guys so my truck shudders going at any speed once it shifts to its desired gear for that speed but only when the RPM's are low. The shuddering seems to go away once the truck has been driving for a while, I feel like it is the tranny but am far from sure. I am pretty sure I have the 4R44E and any input is apreciated!

Fluid condition?

sure sounds like a torque converter shudder. Do you have access to a scan tool that can command the Torque Converter Clutch on and off? If so, while your driving command the TCC Solenoid off once you feel the shudder, if the shudder goes away, then you need to replace the Torque Converter, if it does not go away, start by inspecting other components.

Start off by checking your fluid, it should smell sweet, not burnt, and shouldnt be dark black, which is an indication of burnt clutchs. Brown and dark red are acceptable with bright red being like new condition.

I do not have a scan tool that sophisticated sadly, I will check my fluid condition today though. Thanks for the input in the meantime!
