Show off your Ladder Racks and cargo racks

I'm looking for ideas for when I build mine!!!

Just Google it like I do when I want to see how something will look like. Easy as pie!!!! Why do you need a ladder rack? Is it for work? Or just to show it off around town...lol

I need a Second Floor. :) I'm going off to college, later this season and i'm driving to Ohio. I just need a place outside of my bed to store the spare tire (that won't fit under the truck) and my tools, so I can fill the bed with all my wanted possesions, and fill the back of the cab with my clothes. I also want to use it to add flood lights to the front and rear to the truck. My current job makes me ride a golf ball collecting tractor with low beam only lights and it would be nice to see without that tractor running at the ball washing station...

Why dont you get a roof rack? You can put lots of goodies up there (spare tire as well)!! Here are some photos of my truck with Yakima roof rack and the Yakima Basketcase (holds 150 lbs of storage). Spare 33x12.5 tiire mounted in the back with a bed extender:

Straycat how hard was it to mount that roof rack and where did you get it?

I really like the way it looks.

Well... The only problem there is, I have to carry som things that aer taller than a tonno cover, and the (Second Floor) needs to carry some long stuff, so A ladder/cargo rack would make more sense

I've always liked the look of those CanBack topper/rack systems. Have you looked into those?

Oops. I forgot to reply back to you, Bro!!! Sorry. That is a Yakima SST race and 48 inch cross bars. The basket is a Yakima Basketcase and it supports up to 150 lbs. I had the SST on tow other vehicles and Yakima does not make that style anymore. They have changed to the Q-tower setup you can get now. Ebay has a lot of stuff for Rangers out there and for great prices. I paid $92 with shipping for the Basketcase on Ebay. I really like it and it can sit either up on the towers or down inside as I have it mounted so I can get in and out of the garage without removing it to do so.
