Ok, so I've got some quick fist clamps on the way to mount my shovel to the inside of the bed, along the side.

however, there's that little hump that prevents mounting it flat against the side. So, anyone have suggestions as to what to use to make a second hump thing?

that way I can use both as mounting points.

hump thing in the picture here is what i'm talking about, just above the wheel well. and no, the one farther ahead is not close enough to use either. *not my truck*

Lol, my willys came with axe and shovel mounts already in the frame.

I liked Kroussin's Mazda storage for those items...

Also, duct tape makes a good axe and shovel holder....

Use a short shovel and mount it cross wise on the front bulkhead.
Or fab riser brackets that is taller than the hump and fasten them to the inside bed wall. A piece of square stock may fit the bill for that.
