Shoulder Surgery

holy crap! That’s like wearing an armadillo on your shoulder!
The top half is the ice pack. I don't wear that part all the time. bottom part on my arm is kind of elaborate.

Get well soon!

Doing pretty good. Doctor's office called today and pushed my next appointment back a month because of the Chinese Bat Soup Flu virus. I was supposed to get my assignment for physical therapy. They said they would mail me a prescription and wished me luck finding a PT place that was open.

You could come over my house and hug in my basement. Hugs are good shoulder excercise. And the basement has good ambient temp and humidity conducive for physical activity... plus I have ice pops down there. Any flavor you want.

My right is an AC 3 since 1986, and the left is AC 1 since 2010.
Every doctor has told me that if I get them repaired, I can hang up riding motorcycles. Ive been riding since the 1950s, and do not figure on stopping any time soon.
I tried for the last 10 years to get a minor surgery done, no dice. Its all or nothing.
Im going with nothing

As of yesterday I was able to wipe with my right hand so things are improving and feeling sorta normal. Recovering much faster than my left shoulder did.

What are you wiping with? :icon_confused:

I wipe with toilet paper.

Left hand. And toilet paper. Anyone who's had rotator cuff surgery will tell you it takes a while until you can reach behind you.

You have toilet paper!?!?!

Update. Started physical therapy two weeks ago with me and the PT guy both wearing masks. I'm doing pretty good, much better than the last time but this shoulder wasn't as bad as the other and didn't need as much repair work. Cut my grass today all in one shot, last two weeks I did the back and side yard Saturday and the front yard on Sunday (push mower, not self-propelled). It's bugging me that I haven't washed my truck or the wife's minivan in three months but it rains almost every day so there's not much point.

Glad to hear you're healing well.

Been improving steadily in therapy and day-to-day stuff. Strength is pretty good and flexibility is not bad. It's hard reaching behind me but otherwise pretty good.
