the other day i noticed when i move my arm it hurts my shoulder. i thought it will go away. but now 3 days later it hurts when i move it and when i dont its just numb. it hurts in like a 3 inch spot. its progressivly getting worse.

i would go to the doctor but those cost money. was wondering if any one here has had this happen to them? ive been to web md without ne results. it almost feels like a bee sting or spiders bite. but i dont notice any redness or swelling, besides that the muscle is alot stiffer then my left shoulder

Pinched nerve. Happens to me all the time.

take 2 ALEVE tablets or capsules......and follow the directions on the container for a few days...if Aleve doesn't help, you probably need a Dr.........been there---injured that!

The fact that the muscle is stiff almost makes me think you pulled it. Take some advil and try to rest it for a few days, see what happens.

Na. But PB Blaster might.

i get a similar pain sometimes, i feel like if my muscle is pressed with vice grips.
a couple advils and some rest usually help. and dont sleep sideways.

I threw a frisbee wicked hard once and had just those symptoms after a day or 2. Turned out i agrivated the rotator cuff....didnt tear it just rubbed the tendon over the bone and irritated it. Wicked bad pain that got progressivly worse for a week then slowly went away.

Maybe try applying some heat to it, either in the form of Icy Hot, or maybe sit it in front of a space heater for a while... sometimes heat can help get things going again.

If it is a sprain or a strain, use an ice pack. Every time I hurt myself, my reaction is to use heat (just feels better). After no improvement for a week or two, I drag myself to the Chiropractor and get my butt chewed for using heat.

After a few adjustments and lots of ice packs, I begin to heal.

Sounds like it could be a rotary cuff tear as well....not good since the recovery from surgery is some time and a pain as well. If it is just a pinched nerve you could do what I do for my issues...moist heat packs. They really help me out. Walgreens, Walmarts, Target stores have them. Try one on for size and see if you fell better. Muscle relaxers for a pinched nerve help, but you need to see a doc for the meds. Another idea is a good sauna bath soaking and a rub down from Ben gay or Icy Hot.

Those are similar symptoms to what I had been having. I had some pretty harsh pain too. Turned out I had 2 ruptured disks in my neck. Had surgery, pain gone, but the burning sometimes is still there. Probable nerve damage. You need to bite the bullet and see the dr.

+1..........take 2 tablets of Ibuprofen(200mg each) every 4-6 hours for 24 hours.....if it does not feel better you might have some damage and need to see a Dr..........ask any Nurse or Dr. they will tell you Ibuprofen is a borderline miracle drug....
