Shoulder belts/harnesses in the back seat

I was wondering if anyone has ever added shoulder belts or 4 poimt harnesses to the rear seat in a Bronco 2. My oldest child is too tall for booster seats with the harness, and I'm looking for a step up in safety from the lap belt. This bronco has to serve as my daily and main kiddo transport for the next foreseeable future, so just buying a 1st Gen explorer is out of the question AND the budget.

Are there any seat belt anchors back there? Hopefully so. Can you order certain size new belts? I'm not sure a used belt would be a good idea unless it was just totally pristine

With the windows being the entire sides of the vehicle, there us no structure to mount anything to in the typical location.

My two current thoughts are mounting two buckets with built in seat belts, this would give high back for head/neck safety, and 3 point belts; a mid height hoop with two kickers, mounted to two plates, bolted to the frame through body mount bolts (new bolts obviously) and mount new 4 point belts or harnesses; take out a loan and have a full rear cage done, with provision for shoulder 3pt style belts. I don't want to have to take a loan out, and I like the idea of using bucket seats to have some comfort if adult passengers is ever a necessity, but a low "cargo cage" appeals to me for the utility of mounting things to it like an extinguisher and tool boxes. Does anyone have an thoughts? Anyone tried to do this?

Iv been thinking alot about this I got two kids and I'd love to take them mudding in mine at some point but those little seats won't cut it thought about putting a jeep wrangler bench seat back there and reinforce the underside were it will mount I don't know what I'll do yet tho

Thought about that, but the wrangler seat is still a low back seat, and doesn't have should belt provisions. Granted, high back isn't a deal breaker, as the boosters have high backs, the shoulder belt/restraint is my biggest inquiry.

Yeah your not wrong I completely overlooked that tbh especially with kids so maybe some type of buckets that aren't as wide as normal would be a good match but idk of any off hand

Research has shown that some early 2000's F150's, and mid 2000's f150's and some extended cab super duty trucks, have integrated seat belts. Does anyone have one of these trucks and could measure the seat height and width for me?

Have been looking at suburban and tahoe 3rd row seats, but the suburban I know is 47.5" wide, unknown about the Tahoe. I need something like 44".

This is the suburban seat.

Could I just chop out the center part of the frame, and have the covers narrowed down?

I have also found after market seat belts that are made to be mounted to the floor. Could I fab a plate to mount them to, the add some frame work on the side of the existing seat frames for the upper guide to mount to, and then wrap them with padding and some leather to dress it up and make it a little safer?

I realize that adding to the existing seats makes them useless to fold, but I am 0% concerned with that aspect as I'm likely going to build an old pop-up camper frame into an enclosed trailer, and this thing us solely intended for daily driver duty, and backup kiddy hauling.

mini van seats....rav 4.....focus....escape.....some have shoulder belts...

when i say mini...include sprinter and the newer fords.

Nice looking seats, but don't have belts.

@fordwheelinman ever figure anything out? What about two F150 extended cab front seats (04-08, iirc)? Or two GM full size front seats? Find any tiny minivan seats that fit?
