Today I took my Ranger in to a shop to have the front brakes replaced and while there, had the cooling system flushed and refilled. After it was done, they told me that they filled it up with khameleon coolant, to which I never heard of instead of the Ford gold coolant. Will the khameleon coolant cause any harm to the engine if I leave it in instead of the gold coolant or should I take it to a Ford dealership and have them put the gold coolant in?

It should be just fine, What they used is a universal coolant so they do not have to keep 5 different kinds of fluid in stock.

Yeah, I popped it in to google and saw that it is made by safety kleen. Those are the guys we get our bulk coolant and bulk/tank solvents from. It's alright stuff and won't cause any specific problems that I am aware of.

We sell it as our base-line stuff for flushes while offering the more expensive, bottled MC coolants as the premium stuff for an extra charge (because it is more expensive for use to get), except on the engines that have to have the good stuff.
