The truck is nothing to look at (no matter how you look at it), but I thought I'd make a vid after seeing all kinds of beat rangers on youtube. Hopefully sometime in the summer I'll have her looking and running better!!

Vids were still processing on youtube as of this posting so try back if it's not done yet.

Good start dude nice wheels and lights in the grille. U should be ashamed of keeping that jewel in the shed like that, good to hear its back on the road though, cool vid!:icon_thumby:

Yeah, good videos. It sure as hell cant be easy to talk, sing, think, drive manual and operate a video camera at the same time. Very good narration. Like the rims. One suggestion: get a radio.

Btw, where'd you get your tach? how much and how was it to install?
Thanks.

Thanks Seth. I always did like those wheels but I can't get them clean for the life of me. I'm thinking of sending them out for a good cleaning. They were only polished aluminum so they were never too blingy.

Ha. The wifey doesn't understand my facination with it. Especially cause the 2.3 in her 06 Mariner can run circles around me. Things are going slowly but surely with it. Just had the exhaust done. Will post a vid today of it.

HA.. I think I might have had a cigarette at the time too. I thought I talked too much during it. My radio wiring harness is pretty effed up so I can't just plug and play.. and I'm pretty sure my factory door speakers are equally pretty beat, and I have none in the back. Although I don't think I would hear much of a radio with the exhaust I just put on it.

The tach I got at Advance Auto. I forget how much I paid..around 30 I think but it's just a guess. Was very easy to hook up. My truck being an XL didn't have a tach from factory but they are almost always already wired for one. You just have to find the tach lead. Mine was in a dummy plug on the drivers side inside fender. Yellowish in color. Just try and find a wire that goes to nothing. Or your dealer can point it out. Than hook up your gound/power and illumination with your running lights from your fuse box and your done

likin the sound of that. i wouldnt be ashamed of that truck at all. i like the wheels. id go to junk yard and get a new door and finder and it would be awsome. nice lookin truck dude.

Thanks!! It was sitting in a barn for years. It popped right off too. Although shortly after that the fuel pump died. Put some new plugs and wires in along with an air intake mod and it seems to be running great. The tire size thats currently on it are a bit taller than OE so with 3.07 gears it lost some get up but when I send out the wheels to be polished I'm gonna shorten the over all diameter of the wheel/tire package and the local speed shop is gonna put in a 3.73 traklock. That should help it a bit. I can't go much with a shorter gear like a 4.10 cause of the tranny gearing.

Here is another vid driving with the new exhaust. Quality is sub par because its really just a sony digital camera that can take some vid.

Oh and I would love to pull fenders for it.. I just never did it and the inner fender looks like a nightmare. I might just buy some new sheet metal and have the body shop do it when they paint it
