Short Nose Water Pump?

Hey Guys,

got the engine dry fit last night (can't hook up tranny as stupid trans shop gave me the wrong size torque so....here I am, and found that my water pump pulley is about the width of a serp belt too far out. everything else looks to line up so far.

keep in mind, this was a bare block when I got it, no pulleys or nothing. Ordered an aluminum set of pulleys online, get them, and here I am ...

would the short nose water pump from ford fix or reduce my problem so I could fix it with spacers if required? or whats your suggestion.

The short nose water pump would help with clearance for my electric fan too, so its a win win for me.

i cant find it but its like 1 1/2 shorter than the long neck.

I've read that. I just need to find where I can get it and what pulleys will work. I have a set but I need to make sure they will work. I can always space the water pump pulley out but I need the pump first lol

any pump and pulley off a 1987-1993 should be the right pump and pulley.

Thanks for the link. That's basically the pump I have now. I'm also needing that extra 1.5" for the clearance to get a fan in there.

Having said that I did notice in a picture that someone used a crank pulley spacer. Anyone had good luck using them? Thanks again
