Shopping a 2001 3 Litre: what to look for??

I think it has happened on some newer ones. IIRC, some people on RPS with 2001-2003 Rangers were having them go out. I'd say it's still a good idea to check it.

as far as i know ford hasnt changed the design of the syncro at all. the newest 3.0 syncro ive replaced was in an '05..but maybe there just isnt that many high mileage '06+ rigs yet.

some vulcans (actually it would seem the great majority of them) never have a problem with the syncro.
