I have a pair of Sketchers that isn’t that freakn old and the soles are coming apart. The black rubber part is separating from the white. Whats a good type of glue to fix this? I don’t know if a 2-part epoxy would hold or eat away the rubber. Thought of using black or blue ATV silicone.

Find a shoe store that isn't a chain store. The place I used to buy shoes sold this stuff called "Shoe Goo" and it was specifially designed for that kind of thing.

upholstery glue also......coat both surfaces---let them get real "tacky" to the touch.....press surfaces together good...temporarily hold it together with duct tape/etc until it bonds....(if you can't find a shoe repair shop)

I was having a discussion bout shoe repair shops with a friend recently. There WAS or it may still be there, a shoe repair place nearby that I used way back in the day to fix a leather coat. I have another leather coat needing fixed and thats how it came up. Yeah, ppl don't get there shoes fixed these days. They're generally not made that good anymore or most ppl where sneakers/tennis shoes/wtf u call em.

I've used this as well. It works great. Years ago when my Grandpa had his store, he sold Shoe Goo - so it's been around for a while. But for some reason, it's a little difficult to find. You can get it through Amazon if all else fails locally.

Ah, I've just had a talking shoe experience myself and tried roof cement...this doesn't work very well...so I will check out the Shoe Goo at Wally World...thanks!

this stuff. i find it at walmart all the time. i have a pair of indoor soccer shoes that are fixed with it. still holding after 3 months of use

thanx again, maybe I can get some extended use with kids shoes with this stuff. If it will hold a 7yr olds shoe together, it will work on anything. Then again, I'd have to coat my sons entire shoe....
