Hey, this guy I know just lifted his car a couple inches with just shocks. It was a 99 jeep cherokee. Is it possible for me to do the same thing with my 03 ranger? if so what shocks would you recommend?

??just shocks....... i think he actually just put on some coil overs which you could do but it would take alot of modding. do you have a coil spring or torsion bar suspension?

i rele don't see how he can get lift with only shocks are there to dampen the bouncing of the spring. the spring is what lifts the vehicle. you can get steel coil spacers on ebay for like 40 bucks to lift the front make sure you get the ones above a 98 cause the 97 and below are wrong suspension. the rear you can use beltech 6400s and/or lift blocks

Ive never heard of getting lift from just shocks.

ive seen a couple cars that got a subtle lift with new shocks, but when i mean subtle is that u barely can see it.
mostly because worn shocks didnt help the coils to level the body, remove the shocks and leave just the coils/leafs and it will sag down a bit.
this happended with gas charged shocks.
probably they were slightly taller than the old ones too.
